Rules
1) You and I both have the responsiblity to keep this a great site.
2) Be respectful- no bashing other peoples opinions, thoughts, or expressions.
3) No profanity.. not even the use of *%#@ is allowed. CAPS WILL BE SUFFICIENT. (see?)
4) No name calling.
5) Keep threads on topic. No matter if a comment upsets you or you want to talk about another comment...start another thread...but let the origninal post stay on its topic.
6) You may express your opinion on any post as long as you are not rude, mean or expect others to accept it as the only one. There is a difference between stating your opinion and telling someone that they are stupid because their opinion doesn't seem right to you. So just watch what you say and how you word things. If you dont know how to take what someone said ask, remember its fonts and text, not voice tones and facial expressions. We come from all over, different views is what makes us interesting.
7) No insinuations, either negative or sexual in nature.
8 ) No "adult" conversations in the chatroom. If you want to have personal adult topics please let them take place somewhere other than the site. Some adults may take offense and/or there maybe younger people present.
9) You may hold debates if you keep them civil and the rules are followed. Its hard to keep debates from becoming arguements. (Rule 6) Remember, you can always learn something from other people's views.
10) Do not ignore people in the chatroom. Its rude and makes them feel unwelcome...same with the boards. If someone needs help with something offer your help if you can...if no one has posted to it at all bump it up by replying saying you cant help but maybe someone else can. Sometimes threads get lost amongst the others and dont get read. We are a here to help people and should try our best to do so; you would expect a reply to your thread the same as anyone else.
Infractions will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but if you break any rule you will be given a warning. If you continue to do so you may be banned by any member of management. Any post that is deemed offensive or inappropriate will be deleted or modified, and ALL advertisements will be deleted immediately, without exception. The only type of advertisement allowed is Transplant fundraisers, or CF fundraising. I appreciate your help in this matter and I hope we can just put all these issues behind us.
